TESTIMONIALS

“As a ten-year resident of Sun City Huntley, I am writing this letter in support of the election of Burt Natkins as Village Trustee in the upcoming April 6, 2021 election. Based on his extensive public service and professional credentials, he would bring a strong "package" of knowledge and expertise to the Huntley Village Board.   He would undoubtedly broaden and greatly add to the excellent ideas and accomplishments of our current Board.  For example, over the many years of his legal career, Burt has represented and advocated the interests of municipalities on a wide range of interests.

“His public service is equally expansive.  While he lived in Wisconsin, he served on many different governmental bodies, including the Village of Oregon Board of Trustees. Since moving to Sun City, his participation in local affairs has continued.  He is currently a member of the Kane County Zoning Board of Appeals, the Huntley Historic Preservation Commission, and the Huntley Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.

“On April 6, I therefore urge all Sun City Huntley residents to vote for Burt as Village Trustee, because I believe he would be an ideal addition to the Huntley Village Board.”

“I would like to endorse, and urge you to vote for, Burt Natkins in his efforts to be elected as a Huntley Village Board Trustee.  As well as being a neighbor, Burt and I have worked together for the past several years on a Sun City committee.  His thorough understanding and interpretation of guidelines and procedures have proven his value many times.  Family and community are an essential part of his person.  I am sure he will represent all of us in a most professional way.”

“Support Burt Natkins for Huntley Village Board Trustee.  I know Burt well as a Sun City resident through his membership in the Woodchucks, and I believe he is highly qualified to be a Huntley Village Board Trustee. Considering his present and past experience working with local governments, Burt brings a strong set of skills to the position. Most importantly, I see Burt as a person who knows how to listen to others and clearly share his thoughts. We need a representative from our community who will be a voice for us with the Village. I feel Burt will be the representative on the Huntley Village Board the community needs. On April 6th, vote Burt Natkins for Huntley Village Board Trustee.”

“I strongly support Burt Natkins for Huntley Village Board. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, personable but not ‘political.’

“Natkins’ deep knowledge of and experience in the law and his years in government are important assets in these difficult times of dealing with the pandemic and other issues that cause friction in our society. As a village board member, he can help the village to deal correctly with all of the legal issues connected to Covid 19, protecting us from lawsuits and helping maintain a positive environment for our local businesses– something every village board should have but rarely does.

“Natkins has years of experience in community and economic development and has shown himself to be a great supporter of law enforcement.  He continues to look to the future in all policy matters rather than just considering issues of today and tomorrow. Having board members with this kind of knowledge and experience as well as an eye to the future is what Huntley needs now.”

“I am voting for Burt Natkins for the Huntley Village Board [on April 6]. Burt has a very strong background as legal counsel in local governments and municipalities and would be an asset to our community. Burt is currently on the Kane County Zoning Board of Appeals, the Historic Preservation Commission of Huntley and the Huntley Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association. I have known Burt for some time, and he's proven to be a man of his word and very dedicated to community service. His outstanding background more than qualifies him for this position.”

“In the race for Village of Huntley Trustee, the best candidate and most deserving of your vote, is Burt Natkins.  Burt has a long history of community service, both in a volunteer and an elected capacity.  Throughout his adult years he has relocated a few times and has always sought out a way to serve where needed.  About three years ago, life brought Burt to Huntley.  He approached village officials who appointed him to the village’s Historic Preservation Commission, based on his work with historical groups.  I am chairperson of that commission.   I was amazed at Burt’s talents and abilities from the beginning.  He is able to sit back and listen (and really hear) and add comments when he feels it is helpful.  He can be one of the group or take a leadership role if appropriate.  When he joined our commission, we were reviewing the wording of our ordinance.  As an attorney, Burt was most helpful in structuring sections and phrasing of the document so that the meaning was the same, but the content was easily understood to the lay person.  He is eager to get the message across so our ordinance, when approved by the village board, can be user friendly for homeowners’ use.

“Burt is easy to talk to and well-received by people who meet him.  He will be accessible to residents and willing to listen to our concerns.  As a former elected trustee in the past, Burt is aware of the needs of a town.  He has experience balancing as aspects of a community’s needs.  Burt realizes the Village of Huntley has done a great job governing our community in recent years, but he would like to step up and offer his skills to Huntley’s residents.  He will make an excellent choice for trustee!  While all five trustee candidates have talents to offer, Burt is the best!!  He is a new face with fresh ideas.  It’s time to vote for Burt Natkins, Village of Huntley Trustee!  You’ll be glad you did!  Vote early, or on April 6th at your polling place.”
